Laser Punch Combination
Machine
MURATEC's HYBRID SERIES For Integration of Laser Cutting
with Punching,
Forming and Tapping
MURATEC (known as Wiedemann in the past) introduced the first Numerical Control (NC) in 1955 and the first Computer Numerical Control (CNC) in 1970. In 1984 Muratec introduced the Hybrid, a combination turret and laser machine which reached new levels of productivity. In 1994 the electric turret punch drive was introduced by Muratec. Today we continue the introductions, with the combination of the electric turret punch capabilities with contour cutting of the laser on the Motorum 2558 Hybrid.
HYBRID Series Benefits
- Process integration of laser cutting and punching with forming
and tapping (option) is possible in one machine.
- Increased productivity
- Better product quality due to multiple processing with a single
workpiece clamping
- Greater manufacturing flexibility
- Shorter lead times and lower running cost
- Reduced number of machines and in-process inventory
