MURATEC INTRODUCES THE MZ60G

A TWIN-SPINDLE, ZERO-LOAD-TIME, AUTOMATED TURNING CENTER

TWIN-SPINDLE, ZERO-LOAD-TIME, AUTOMATED TURNING CENTERNew from Muratec, the MZ60G is designed for high-speed, high-quality production of less-than-6" parts in the automotive, small engine, and bearing industries. This turning center features an integral high-speed, CNC gantry loader and twin-spindle, single-turret configuration that eliminates turret idle for an effective zero load/unload time.

The twin-spindle design can accommodate duplicate operations, a first and second operation on a single part, or simultaneous operations on two different parts. Whatever the setup, work piece loading and unloading time is effectively zero, as the turret is always in the machining cycle. With no turret idle time, the MZ60G delivers dramatically reduced production times – up to 38% compared to single-spindle machines.

The spindles are served by a versatile and efficient, simultaneous three-axis CNC gantry servo loader. It offers quick and easy teach-point programming and high machine productivity.

The MZ60G employs an ecology-friendly oil-free design concept that eliminates lubrication and hydraulic units. The ball screws, and linear guides for loader axes and turret guides are prelubricated. Air cylinders eliminate the need for hydraulic units.
