As part of our commitment to world-class personalized customer service, we provide limited warranties for most of the Muratec products.

Murata Machinery's warranty includes the following provisions:

  • This is only done with the purchase of a preventive maintenance plan, not as part of the warranty.
  • All Murata Machinery-provided equipment shall be operated within the specified limitations and approved by Murata Machinery personnel prior to installation.
  • Any additional Murata Machinery equipment (not installed by Murata Machinery) shall be inspected and approved by Murata Machinery service personnel prior to “power on”.
  • The warranty shall cover any defects found in workmanship and manufacturing, and shall not cover consumable, perishable, or normal wear details such as grease, contacts, fuses, lamps, wheels, etc.

The warranty shall apply for a period of one (1) year after completion of acceptance testing.

  • No warranty shall apply to any Murata Machinery equipment that is altered in any way.
  • This warranty does not include any damage incurred to the system from any other machinery, equipment, conveyors, signals, interfacing, or operator errors.
  • Component swapping between vehicles, devices, controllers, etc., will void the warranty.
  • In order to preserve the warranty, all work on the system must be performed by a person who has successfully completed a Murata training course for the work being performed and is so certified. Proper procedures and tools must be used.

Material Handling Warranties

8 hours/day for one-year or a total of 2,000 hours of operation will be covered by warranty on materials and workmanship for all Murata manufactured equipment. The warranty period begins immediately following acceptance of the system. Murata’s warranty includes the following provisions:

  • The warranty shall apply for a period of one (1) year of 8 hours/day operation or a total of 2,000 hours of operation after completion of acceptance testing.
  • Warranty will be voided in the situation that Murata’s equipment has been altered or tampered with in any way.
  • Preventive maintenance shall be performed and documented at specified intervals. Obvious malfunctions or worn parts shall be corrected or repaired in a timely manner to prevent consequential damage to other components.
  • All Murata-provided equipment shall be operated within the specified limitations and approved by Murata personnel prior to system hand over to the customer.
  • Any additional Murata equipment (not installed by Murata) shall be inspected and approved by Murata service personnel prior to “power on”.
  • The warranty shall cover any defects found in workmanship and manufactured equipment.

The warranty does not include any:

    • Damage incurred to the system from any other machinery, equipment, conveyors, signals, interfacing, operator errors, or any utilization of the system beyond Its intended use.
    • Shall not cover consumable, perishable, or normal wear details such as grease, contacts, fuses, lamps, wheels, etc.

*Any and all tampering, modifications, use of system beyond utilization, effects or damages caused by other equipment that was not approved by Murata personnel will void warranty.

Turning & Fabrication Warranties

Our turning products feature a 2-year machine warranty, and 1-year warranty on peripherals. All machines in our fabrication line come with a 1-year warranty, and all of our machine tool products come with a 2-year Fanuc control warranty.
